Mapas

Exploring places, patterns and relationships in territorial data.

  • Territorial analysis
  • Data visualization
  • Geospatial data

Mapas is a territorial analysis workspace developed at Sustantiva. It brings socioeconomic indicators, electoral results and geographic layers together so users can compare places and periods and investigate relationships between variables.

From a place to a question

Users can explore the geographic distribution of socioeconomic indicators, compare them with electoral results and examine how those relationships vary across territories and over time.

Compare variables and inspect exceptions

Linked analytical views let users move from the map to scatter plots, a correlation matrix and an outlier list. Geographic filters and aggregation controls help identify places worth a closer look.

Preserve the context of the data

Mapas supports multiple country datasets, with indicators, historical comparisons and geographic detail determined by the available sources. A provincial observation stays provincial instead of being repeated across districts as if it were a finer estimate. Source dates and geographic scales remain visible when users compare layers.
